During the third quarter of 2009, Efacec’s Automation business unit received a set of important orders, in the domain of power network management and automation, highlighting the following:

- Supply of systems and equipments necessary to remodelling of one transmission substation and two switching stations by
REN, Portugal. |

- Supply of supervision and control system for the KOSTT transmission network, Kosovo. |
|
We would like to also highlight the achievements of the Power Systems Automation Unit of Efacec do Brasil, located in São Paulo, Brazil, which has recently won several important projects, in which the systems developed by Efacec Automation Unit, in Portugal, will be integrated |

The Automation Studio Designer is the new software module of the Efacec integrated engineering environment. It incorporates a project system and includes support for integrated configuration and management of Central Units and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED), within the CLP 500 platform.

»» Atom-Smashing Substation Automation – T&D World Magazine presents a CERN feature article

The November edition of the T&D World Magazine presents a feature article about , where Georges Burdet describes the electric power system and related management and automation solutions CERN has implemented for the largest particle accelerator in the world, the LHC, acronym for Large Hadron Collider. Among these solutions, Efacec Automation supplied a SCADA/DMS Control Centre, as well as 57 RTU.
