The Efacec Automation business unit received an important order, valued at around 6 million Euros, for the supply of substation automation systems for REN, comprising one substation and two switching stations.

The supply and the scope of intervention are the following:

The scope of supply includes the installation of the substation automation systems, based on the CLP 500SCC platform, with integration of Efacec electronic intelligent devices, as well as third party protection units. From the Efacec supply we can highlight the following:
- UC 500E - system central unit, fanless and diskless;
- BCU 500 - bay control unit, for the implementation of the automation and measurement, synchro-check, as well as for the voltage automatic regulation;
- UAC 420 - bay acquisition and control unit, for the general services and operator selection board.

All platform components will communicate between them, as well as with the third party protection units, through an Ethernet network, according to the IEC 61850 standard. The device synchronisation will be performed by GPS.

The present order, placed by SIEMENS, is a sign of trust and recognition of Efacec solutions and services.
