São Vicente Substation, EDP - Portugal

Efacec has concluded recently a project within the scope of distribution substation automation for EDP (Energias de Portugal), standing for the remodelling of medium voltage switchboards and substation automation systems installation for the São Vicente substation (60/30/15 kV).

The scope of supply, of the turn-key type, included the following systems:
- Substation automation aystem based on the CLP 500SCC platform of Efacec
- Efacec and third party protection system.

The Efacec solutions are based on distributed architectures, supported by the CLP 500SCC automation platform, integrating digital protections communicating with each other.

The architectures proposed by Efacec allow the reduction of installation, tests and maintenance costs, which makes the solutions more attractive, both from technical and investment point of view, facts that caught the attention of EDP.

São Sebastião II Traction Substation, Metropolitano de Lisboa - Portugal

During the third quarter of 2009, Efacec concluded the commissioning of a substation automation system for the São Sebastião II traction substation (30 kVca/750 Vcc), supplied within the scope of the extension of the yellow line of Metropolitano de Lisboa.

The project included the installation of a system based on CLP 500SCC.

With this commissioning, Efacec reaffirms its leadership in the domestic market, within the scope of sophisticated substation automation systems for traction substations.

El Bayadh Substation, GRTE - Algeria

Recently, Efacec concluded a project for ABB regarding the integration of one 60 kV line bay of the El Bayadh substation into the Saida Grouped Control Station (PCG) of GRTE (Sonelgaz Transport de l’Electricité), Algeria.

The Efacec scope of supply for this PCG includes one substation automation system, based on the CLP 500SCC platform.

The present order stands out as an important reference for the substation automation systems supplied by Efacec for GRTE, within the power transmission scope.

It is worth mentioning that Efacec has already supplied several solutions for GRTE, within the scope of remote control and automation of transmission substations, as well as of grouped control stations.
