The Efacec Automation Business Unit received an important order for the supply of supervision and control systems for 21 power transmission network substations by the KOSTT company from Kosovo.

KOSTT (Kosovo Electricity Transmission, System and Market Operator) is responsible for the management and operation of the power transmission system in Kosovo. The KOSTT transmission system consists of 1186 km of aerial lines, with a transformer capacity of 2400 MVA.

The contract foresees the supply of several RTUs, based on the CLP 500RTU platform, the technology internally developed by Efacec.

At each substation level, all devices to be supplied (UC 500E, BCU 500) will inter-communicate through a LAN network, according to the IEC 61850 standard. The device synchronisation will be carried out by GPS.

For Efacec, this is the first contract in Kosovo in the area of Power Systems Automation, being carried out through the French company AREVA T&D, within the scope of the National Dispatch installation in Kosovo. This contract is recognized as a sign of acknowledgment and trust by the French multinational relatively to the solutions and services offered by Efacec.
