- REN, Portugal: supply of equipments and services necessary to remodel four transmission substations: Portimão, Mourisca,
Frades and Riba d’Ave |

On May, EDF R&D visited the Efacec Automation Unit in Maia, as well as two important Efacec references within the scope of substation automation. |

»» Efacec was distinguished with the honourable mention for the Product Innovation Award,
promoted by COTEC and Unicer |
During the second edition of the Product Innovation Award, promoted by COTEC and Unicer, Efacec was distinguished with the honourable mention, resulting of its application relative to a solution developed by Automation Unit, the SmartGate.
The award ceremony took place in the Culturgest, in Lisbon, 3rd July, 2009.

»» Efacec's BCU 500 and TPU S420 receive KEMA IEC 61850 certification |
On May 2009, Efacec’s BCU 500 and TPU S420 (Bay Control Unit and Feeder Protection and Control Unit respectively, for Substation Automation) received the KEMA certification, regarding the implementation of the IEC 61850 standard, covering points 6, 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, 7-4 and 8-1. |
