During the third quarter of 2008, Efacec concluded an implementation of a substation automation system for EDA’s Quatro Ribeiras substation (30/15 kV). EDA is an electric power production, transmission and distribution company of the Azores, Portugal.

The official inauguration ceremony of the new CERN’s particle accelerator, the LHC, took place on October 21st, with the participation of Heads of State and Government, as well as on CERN’s Member States Ministries, among other important visitors.
