During the third quarter of 2008, Efacec received an important set of orders regarding the international market, valued at around 2 million Euros, of which we can highlight the following ones:

Orders for power distribution network management systems and substation automation systems for Romania (CEZ Romania
and E-ON Moldova)
Orders for substation automation systems for Brazil (COELCE and BANDEIRANTE)
Order for substation integrated control systems for Bahrain (MEW)
Order for substation automation system for Algeria (GRTE)

Orders for power distribution network management systems and substation automation systems for Romania
(CEZ Romania and E-ON Moldova)

During the last quarter of 2008, Efacec received important orders from Romanian companies, CEZ Romania and E-ON Moldova, through its business partner in Romania Eximprod, for the supply of power distribution networks management and automation systems.

Both companies are responsible for power distribution in Romania: CEZ Romania in seven districts of the Valáquia Region, in the south-eastern Romania; E-ON Moldova in six districts of Moldova Region, in the north-eastern Romania.

The contracts that were signed with CEZ Romania, foresee the supply of substation automation systems, integrating BCU 500 bay control units, as well as TPU 420 protection relays, by Efacec, for CEZ’s secondary distribution substations.

The contract that was signed with E-ON Moldova, foresee the supply of a SCADA system for distribution network automation. The system will be based on the CLP 500 platform, integrating the HMI 500 human machine interface.

These important orders strengthen the Efacec presence in Romania, and demonstrate how these companies rely on our systems and solutions, since these are the first orders made by CEZ and E-ON for Efacec.

The systems to be supplied are based on a distributed architecture, supported by the CLP 500SCC supervision, command, control and protection platform.

The supplies for COELCE refer to new substations:
- Schincariol, 69 kV
- Independência, 69/13.8 kV
- Massapê, 69/13.8 kV
- Mondubim, 69/13.8 kV
