Concerning orders, 2008 was an excellent year for the Power Systems Automation Unit.

For the first time we exceeded the 28 million euro target, corresponding to a total order value of 28.85 million euro. 40% corresponded to the export market.

In the last quarter of 2008, Efacec received a set of important orders, with a total amount around 12.77 million euros, highlighting the following:
Domestic market
  REN - the supply of systems and equipments necessary to remodelling of two substations and one switching station
  EDP - the supply of an automation system for a hydro power plant

  CADAFE, Venezuela - the supply of mobile substation automation systems, featuring control and protection functions

»» New projects implementation
During the last quarter of 2008, Efacec carried out an important set of automation systems installation and commissioning, for several clients, of which we can highlight the following ones:
  - REN, Portugal - Torrão, Frades and Riba d'Ave substations
  - EWA, Bahrain - Amwaj and Khaleej al Bahrain substations
  - EDELNOR, Peru - Chillón substation
