Important orders |
During the last quarter of 2010, Efacec Automation Business Unit received a set of important orders, in the area of power network management and automation, highlighting the following: |
- SEC, Saudi Arabia – the supply and configuration of remote terminal units for 4 distribution substations |
- BESCOM, India – the supply of remote terminal units for supervision and control of 400 ring main units in Bangalore region |
- ANDE, Paraguay – the supply of substation automation systems, featuring protection and control for 5 substations |
- EDP, Portugal – the supply of the of the security solutions for its SCADA network |

New project implementations |
Regional Control Center for EDM, Mozambique
Efacec Automation Business Unit, under the reorganization and modernization introduced by the EDM in the management and implementation of its cases, has provided and implemented a SCADA system, based on SCATE X EMS, in order to manage and operate the transmission network of the South Region of the country. |

Efacec Academy opens Energy and Automation School
Efacec Academy, the recently created Corporate University of Efacec, opened its Energy and Automation Schools on November 19, 2010. This is one of the three schools that will operate (in 2011) as the pilot-project of the Academy.

World Future Energy Summit 2011
Efacec is present at the World Future Energy Summit 2011 (WFES) that takes place January 17-20 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
DistribuTECH
Efacec ACS will be participating in the DistribuTECH exhibition in San Diego, February 1-3. DistribuTECH is a major industry show with an emphasis on Smart Grid and Distribution Automation technologies. Attendees include electric, water and gas utilities, federal power agencies, energy end users, municipalities, and consultants.
