Efacec was present at the African Utility Week that took place in Cape Town, South Africa, March 14-17, 2011. The African Utility Week is the annual forum where African and international experts exhibit their development strategies and technical improvements for the power and water sectors.

In the scope of the Demonstration System presented at the event, Efacec Automation highlighted:

- New solution for Smart Grids, the SmartGate platform
- New solution for Utility Distribution and Industrial Protection and Control, the TPU 220 protection relays series
- Improved solution for Substation Automation, the CLP 500 unified platform
- Improved engineering tool, the Automation Studio

We received a considerable number of visits during the event from local utilities interested in Efacec solutions and products.

Efacec ACS participated in the DistribuTECH exhibition in San Diego, February 1-3, 2011. DistribuTECH is a major industry show with an emphasis on Smart Grid and Distribution Automation technologies. Attendees included electric, water and gas utilities, federal power agencies, energy end users, municipalities, and consultants.

Efacec ACS showcased its complete line of automation solutions, including SCADA, DMS, OMS and substation products. The Centrix™ was also introduced, the latest application of its leading FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation and Restoration) technology for self-healing feeders.

The Switchgear and Power Transformer Business Units of Efacec were also present in the booth.
