During the second quarter of 2010 Efacec, supplied to the company Chilectra S.A., Electric Power utility in Santiago de Chile, an Automation and Measurement System, commissioned to its San José Substation and based on the CLP 500SCC platform by Efacec.

The system was commissioned in the scope of a contract signed between Bauen Efacec in Chile and Chilectra, an Enersys’ Chilean company.

San José Substation includes one double circuit Line of 110 kV, four 110/12/10 kV Transformers. The medium voltage level includes eight power supplies, one man bar coupler, main and auxiliary bar input, two capacitor banks, and interconnection of main and auxiliary bar.

The Automation and Measurement System produced by Efacec includes communication network in optical fibre, LAN Ethernet TCP/IP, supported by IEC 61850 (including IEC 61850 GOOSE messages for peer-to-peer communication).

This commissioning is recognized once again as a Chilectra sign of trust towards Efacec, based on its experience, high competitiveness and technical quality of the developed solutions within the scope of substation automation systems.
