Efacec has participated in a MOBI.E demonstration action that took place in Maia, Portugal.

In January 2010, Efacec welcomed a delegation from MOBI.E partners and NISSAN UK.

On March the 31^st, a MOBI.E demonstration action took place in Maia, Portugal, at the premises of CEIIA (Centre for the Excellence and Innovation in the Car Industry).

All MOBI.E partners were present, including EDP, Inteli, Efacec, CEIIA, Critical Software and Novabase, as well as members from NISSAN that have been working closely with the MOBI.E team.

Mr. João Dias (consultant of the Prime Minister Office) from GAMEP (Office for the Electric Mobility in Portugal), welcomed all guests, while Mr. Luís Reis, from Inteli, shared with the audience the main targets of the MOBI.E main project features:
- Designed for the user
- Universal access
- Totally interoperable, with multiple operators and multiple market traders
- Integrated, comprising the manager entity and services
- Scalable, since it is a national target
- Cost effective, from the perspectives of investment, maintenance and operation
- Safe and operational

The demonstration action included several systems, all integrated as “the solution”, comprising:
- A real electric vehicle and a demonstration vehicle
- 1 master and 2 satellite outdoor charging units, by Efacec (design by CEIIA)
- 1 wall mounted indoor charging unit, by Efacec (design by CEIIA)
- A SmartGate, by Efacec, responsible for interfacing the charging points with the electric management system
  and with the charging network management system
- An electric power management system, by Efacec
- A charging network management system
- A customer service and billing system

All guests had the opportunity to observe the demonstration of each component of the solution.

This reception occured in January and was conducted by the Efacec’s Transport Unit. The MOBI.E delegation included guests from CEIIA, Inteli, Critical Software, Novabase and EDP. NISSAN UK joined this delegation to know deeply the goals and guidelines of the MOBI.E Project.

Our guests had the opportunity to learn more about the Automation Unit, namely the solutions and references, and its commitment to the MOBI.E Project, as part of the wider participation of Efacec.
