»» Orders from MEW, Bahrain

EFACEC received a set of orders from MEW (Ministry of Electricity and Water, Bahrain), through our business partner Cruickshanks (from the United Kingdom), concerning the supply of integrated control systems for the substations of GIIC (66/11 kV), Janoob Marsa Al Bahrain (66/11 kV), Al Areen BSP (220/66/11 kV), Shamal Al Areen City Tee (66/11 kV) and Janoob Al Areen City Tee (66/11 kV).

The scope of supply of EFACEC for each substation includes an automation system based on CLP 500SCC, integrating protections from third parties.

This order confirms the preference of MEW for EFACEC products, supplied through Cruickshanks, a Scottish engineering company, our partner in Bahrain.

During the last years, several integrated control systems for substations were supplied for 220/66/11 kV substations. Including the new orders, the total number will reach 19 systems based on the CLP 500SCC platform, a system per substation, from which 6 are already in operation, 1 is under commissioning, and 4 already finished the Factory Acceptance Tests and were shipped to the client. The remaining 3 systems’ Factory Acceptance Tests are scheduled soon-after.
